These miniature tiles
were made by artist Nancy Froseth (Tierney's Tiles) in porcelain and hand
colored. Made for the N.A.M.E. (National Association of Miniature Enthusiasts)
National Houseparty that was held in Minnesota in 1989. The delicate tiles are
a reproduction designed by Walter Crane in 1874 for Mew & Co of England. They depict the elements and relate to the
seasons through Babylonian astrological signs - Zephyria ~ summer ~ wind, Ignis
~ winter ~ fire, terra ~ spring ~ earth, Acqua ~ fall water the upper two
tiles are Sol and Luna, sun and moon".
Size: 2 1/2" square x 1 1/4" - each square tile is
approximately 5/8" square.
