A remarkably detailed shipping crate holds this foldable wash stand with mangle and 2 tubs. We have only seen this unique piece come up on the resale market once and it is a rare and exceptionally made. Tom Martin crafted this with particular detail. The bench folds to fit into the crate with the tubs. The real sawdust and wood chips give it the most realistic appearance. The authentic hardware is finely made and the labels show consideration to what a real crate from the 1920' would have looked like. The crate lid has been 'pried' off and has sharp nails around the frame. SIgned by the artist in 1982 for Magical Splinters.
