The incomparable Victor Franco from Mexico was a true master
in miniature. Before technology, he
produced accurate, unbelievable hand carved and painted miniatures. He mixed media using wood, metal work,
leather and more. Franco’s work is highly
collectible. He took everyday life and
literally shrunk it down to 1/12th scale.
You can practically here the crackling sounds coming out of
this (non-working) radio as the family all crowded around, leaning forward so
as not to miss a single word. The rich
carved wood, glass and brass details and faux cord and plug make this remarkable
piece look so authentic!
